Nephrology NP/PA

Job Description

Seeking a full-time Nephrology Nurse Practitioner to join an established team, providing hospital coverage on weekdays and weekends (shared with others) and rounding in dialysis units. Flexible outpatient office hours are available. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving skills, and experience in kidney-related healthcare, including patient education.

Major duties include obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering relevant tests, maintaining accurate documentation, evaluating and treating kidney diseases, and coordinating with the primary team. The role requires an active NY NP license, 2+ years of experience (preferably in nephrology), national certification (ANCC/AANP), and DEA eligibility. Responsibilities also include hospital credentialing, dialysis coverage, and flexible scheduling.
