Job Description

Seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time role in a correctional facility’s medical department.

  • Conduct clinical assessments, including mental status exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans, with referrals to psychiatry as needed.
  • Perform risk assessments for inmates at risk of self-harm or suicide, following established protocols.
  • Serve as a mental health liaison and facilitate inmate admissions to forensic hospitals.
  • Monitor mental health services and ensure compliance with standards like NCCHC.
  • Participate in quality assurance, develop educational programs, and prepare performance reports.
