Job Description
The Licensed Addictions Counselor provides individual and group chemical dependency treatment within a modified therapeutic community setting.
Essential functions include evaluating clients and families, developing personalized treatment plans, conducting counseling sessions, facilitating education classes, making referrals, documenting progress, and collaborating with staff and supervisors.
They apply evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Risk Assessment, and Social Learning Theory, demonstrating strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral Science field with at least one year of experience working with adult offenders and Montana licensure, or three years of relevant experience. Preferred candidates have residential and therapeutic community experience.
