Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) plans, organizes, and oversees speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders. Conducts screenings for new and long-term residents, participates in facility meetings, and develops resident programs to maximize functioning. Supports facility compliance, infection control, and residents’ rights, while managing caseload scheduling and staff education. Maintains professional conduct, communicates effectively, and collaborates with healthcare teams. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, ASHA certification, SNF experience preferred, and proficiency in computer applications.
Compensation & Benefits: $50-$60/hour, 1-16 hours/week, with benefits including employee assistance, flexible schedule, and retirement plan.
