Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) plans, organizes, and oversees speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders.
  • Conducts screenings for new and long-term residents, participates in facility meetings, and develops resident programs to maximize functioning.
  • Supports facility compliance, infection control, and residents’ rights, while managing caseload scheduling and staff education.
  • Maintains professional conduct, communicates effectively, and collaborates with healthcare teams.

  • Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, ASHA certification, SNF experience preferred, and proficiency in computer applications.

    Compensation & Benefits: $50-$60/hour, 1-16 hours/week, with benefits including employee assistance, flexible schedule, and retirement plan.

    Work Location: In person.
