The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides patient-centered care using clinical guidelines and judgment, collaborating with physicians and administration. Responsibilities include health assessments, diagnosis, developing and implementing treatment plans, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and patient education. The NP ensures a safe environment, maintains accurate documentation, and participates in interdisciplinary teams.

Must meet professional goals, maintain certifications, and participate in ongoing education. Responsibilities also include mentoring peers and engaging in community or organizational activities. Physical demands involve standing, lifting, and exposure to communicable diseases.

Required skills include strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Candidates should have a master’s, post-master, or doctoral degree in nursing, valid Indiana RN and NP licenses, board certification, and an unrestricted DEA license.
