Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring quality care in compliance with regulations.
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, based on physician orders. Screen residents promptly after admission and upon significant changes or referrals. Participate in facility meetings, staff training, and care planning to develop resident-specific programs. Assist in meeting accreditation standards and adhere to infection control and residents’ rights policies. Manage caseload scheduling, conduct staff in-services, and communicate staffing needs. Present professionally and perform additional duties as directed.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Requires strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with healthcare team members.
Compensation ranges from $50.00 to $60.00 per hour, with flexible hours (1–16 per week), benefits, and an in-person work environment.
