Hospice Board Certified Music Therapist/Volunteer Coordinator

Job Description

The Music Therapist provides individualized music therapy to address patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs, following a written care plan.

They assess patient conditions, direct therapy sessions, and evaluate progress, reporting outcomes to physicians.

Additionally, they initiate therapy programs, train family and staff, and participate in interdisciplinary teams and quality improvement activities.

The role includes preparing clinical summaries, providing consultation and education, and participating in orientation programs.

Qualifications include a degree in music therapy, state certification, at least two years of experience, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.
