Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care services in a community health setting under the Medical Director’s supervision.
Requires current NP certification, Iowa license, and preferably bilingual English/Spanish. Minimum two years’ experience with underserved populations, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and clinical judgment. Responsibilities include health assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, health promotion, and patient education. Performs minor procedures, collaborates with healthcare team, and refers complex cases. Participates in continuing education, quality improvement, and maintains timely documentation. Physical requirements involve standing, walking, lifting patients, and visual/hearing acuity. The work environment is typically low to moderate noise, with exposure to health hazards.
