Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Nephrologist to provide on-site outpatient and inpatient care for Veterans at a VA Medical Center, including a weekly clinic and on-call coverage.

Key responsibilities include managing AKI, CKD, ESKD, fluid/electrolyte disorders, hypertension, nephrolithiasis, kidney transplant patients, and evaluating extracorporeal treatments. The provider will oversee kidney replacement therapies, perform bedside consults, document in electronic health records, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

On-call expectations require availability by phone within 15 minutes and onsite within 60 minutes, with coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications include MD/DO with accredited training, Board Certification or eligibility in Nephrology, an active unrestricted medical license in the U.S., current BLS or ACLS certification, and fluency in English. Credentialing for VA privileges is required prior to start.
