Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles.

  • Conducts assessments, identifies treatment needs, and assists clients in accessing treatment and resources.
  • Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction-related issues, including support and education within the community.
  • Helps clients set and achieve treatment goals, monitors progress, and evaluates outcomes.
  • Maintains accurate records, collaborates with other departments, and ensures compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
  • Provides outreach, educational programs, and referrals, with knowledge of community services and ASAM criteria.
