Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.

  • Evaluate and develop individualized therapy plans, conduct bedside swallowing assessments, and recommend dietary textures.
  • Deliver therapy services, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on communication techniques and safety precautions.
  • Supervise assistants and students, maintain compliance with regulations, and foster a supportive environment.

    • Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, valid licensure in Oregon, and preferred CCC-SLP certification or CFY status. Previous geriatrics or skilled nursing experience is a plus. The role involves working 10 hours weekly, including weekends.
