Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and communities to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent addiction.

  • Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and assists patients in achieving recovery goals.
  • Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction causes, effects, and treatment options.
  • Provides community education, workshops, and resources, focusing on high-risk populations.
  • Maintains accurate documentation, adheres to confidentiality and legal standards, and collaborates with other departments and community agencies.
  • Supports patients with employment, education, and relationship rebuilding efforts.

  • Requirements include relevant licensure/certification (LCAS-A, LCAS, CADC), with preferred experience in SUD. The role is in person, full-time, with benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
