Job Description
The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and communities to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent addiction.
Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and assists patients in achieving recovery goals. Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction causes, effects, and treatment options. Provides community education, workshops, and resources, focusing on high-risk populations. Maintains accurate documentation, adheres to confidentiality and legal standards, and collaborates with other departments and community agencies. Supports patients with employment, education, and relationship rebuilding efforts. Requirements include relevant licensure/certification (LCAS-A, LCAS, CADC), with preferred experience in SUD.
