Job Description

The Substance Abuse Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

  • Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and facilitates evidence-based interventions.
  • Leads group therapy sessions on relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery topics.
  • Provides individual and family counseling, ensures accurate documentation, and coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Supports discharge planning and maintains licensure and regulatory compliance.

  • Qualifications include: a master’s degree, active state licensure, and addiction-specific certification preferred. Minimum two years of relevant experience is preferred.

    Work involves: engaging clients in high-stress settings, documentation, and working in office, residential, and outpatient environments, with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
