Job Description

The Substance Abuse Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and facilitates evidence-based interventions.

Leads group therapy sessions on relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery topics.

Provides individual and family counseling, ensures accurate documentation, and coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams.

Supports discharge planning and maintains licensure and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include: a master’s degree, active state licensure, and addiction-specific certification preferred. Minimum two years of relevant experience is preferred.

Work involves: engaging clients in high-stress settings, documentation, and working in office, residential, and outpatient environments, with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
