Family Practice Physician – Critical Access Hospital

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician (MD or DO) to join a 25-bed critical access hospital in Shell Lake, WI, with over 70 years of community service.

Our physicians work 4 weekdays in clinics, rotating ER call (4-6 weeks nights/month, weekend rotation every 4th or 5th), and hospital rounding. Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating injuries/illnesses, interpreting tests, and managing prescriptions, with participation in medical staff meetings and collaboration with staff.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited medical school, US board certification, WI licensure, current DEA, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS (PALS/CALS preferred). Candidate must provide compassionate care, maintain licensure, and have a strong work ethic.
