Job Description
This full-time Speech Language Pathologist position offers a $4,000 joining bonus, paid school holidays (including fall, Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks), and observes federal holidays. Responsibilities involve providing direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to K-12+ students with developmental disabilities and AAC users in a collaborative environment with OTs and PTs. Tasks include evaluations, developing individualized plans, programming augmentative communication devices, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with educators, monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records for Medicaid billing, and communicating with parents.
Qualifications include a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, valid Arizona SLP certification and license, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and eligibility for Medicaid billing. Preferred qualifications include AZ Hearing Screening certification. The work environment can be noisy with potential behavioral challenges. The position pays $90,000 annually. Applicants must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and meet background check requirements.
