Job Description
Seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services.
- Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and recommend dietary modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Document all evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulations.
- Supervise assistants and students as assigned, promote a positive environment, and participate in care planning meetings.
Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, valid licensure in Oregon, and preferred CCC-SLP certification or CFY status. Prior experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred. The role involves 10 hours weekly, including weekends.
