Job Description

The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology provides comprehensive patient care under physician supervision in a clinical setting.

Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages gastrointestinal and liver conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver disease.

Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, develops treatment plans, and prescribes medications within scope.

Educates patients on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.

Collaborates with healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and maintains accurate documentation.

Participates in staff meetings, training, and quality initiatives, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing, an active Texas Nurse Practitioner license, national certification, and at least one year of NP experience, preferably in gastroenterology.

The role involves two days per week (8 hours each), with potential for additional shifts, performed on-site. Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist patients is necessary.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Snyder, TX prior to starting.
