Job Description

This part-time Speech-Language Pathologist role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.

  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy to improve residents’ communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and recommend dietary modifications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, document progress, and educate residents, families, and staff on communication and safety strategies.
  • Supervise therapy assistants and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Requirements include a Master’s degree, valid state licensure, and preferred CCC-SLP certification, with experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing preferred.
