Job Description
This part-time Speech-Language Pathologist role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy to improve residents’ communication and swallowing abilities.
Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and recommend dietary modifications.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, document progress, and educate residents, families, and staff on communication and safety strategies.
Supervise therapy assistants and ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements include a Master’s degree, valid state licensure, and preferred CCC-SLP certification, with experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing preferred.
