Job Description

Join our healthcare team as an ObGyn Hospitalist Physician working 10-hour night shifts from 9 pm to 7 am, with a minimum of 3 shifts per month and flexible options for additional shifts. This is a 1099 position requiring physicians to carry their own malpractice and tail insurance. The role is ideal for those seeking to reduce private OB coverage or focus on clinic work without fully leaving OB practice, with potential for full-time hospitalist employment with negotiated malpractice coverage.

The hospital’s L&D unit handles approximately 100 deliveries monthly, with a Level 2 nursery and transfer options to a Level 3 facility for high-risk or pre-32-week patients. Responsibilities include managing admitted L&D and postpartum patients, evaluating triage, responding to ED/floor consults, considering transfers, and managing discharge procedures using Epic EMR. Surgical assistance for procedures is available at all times.

Requirements include a medical degree, board eligibility or certification in ObGyn, a valid Texas medical license, and inpatient obstetrics experience. Compensation ranges from $190.00 to $235.00 per hour. Benefits include a flexible schedule, with the work primarily in person.
