Job Description
The General Anesthesiologist position in Gastonia, NC offers a full-time, exempt role with options for partnership, W-2, or daytime schedule (no nights or weekends).
Provides anesthesia at local hospitals, performing diverse cases including cardiac, neuro, OB, ortho, ENT, pediatric, GI, and general surgeries. Supervises nurse anesthetists and mentors residents and fellows. Conducts patient evaluations, develops anesthesia plans, and monitors intra- and post-operative care. Uses regional and general anesthesia techniques, with opportunities to perform advanced cardiac procedures like CABG, TAVRs, LVADs, and more. Requires MD/DO, board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology, 3+ years experience, and cardiothoracic fellowship. Offers a balanced schedule with call shared among 10 physicians, approximately 2-3 shifts/month.
