Job Description

The Speech and Language Pathologist provides specialized assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for students with severe behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, social communication, and feeding/swallowing skills, recommending AAC devices as needed.
  • Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans in various settings, supporting communication and feeding goals.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to implement strategies, train staff, and support students’ progress.
  • Integrate communication strategies into behavior plans and crisis interventions, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.
  • Qualifications include a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CA licensure, and experience with severe disabilities; preferred skills include ABA, AAC systems, and bilingual abilities.
