Recreation Therapist – CTRS – Full Time

Join our Growing Team at a psychiatric care facility in Detroit, MI, dedicated to providing compassionate treatment for adults 18+ with acute psychiatric conditions.

The Recreation Therapist (CTRS) will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic activity interventions to enhance clients’ cognitive, physical, social, and psychosocial functioning. Responsibilities include fostering healthy coping, stress management, self-awareness, and post-discharge leisure planning.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation, NCTRC certification, with preferred experience in psychiatric settings. Basic computer skills and bilingual abilities are a plus.

We offer a full-time position with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more. New therapists participate in a 5-day orientation, including hospital and department training.

Schedule includes 8-hour shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed. Must be able to commute to Detroit, MI, and work in person.
