Job Description
Seeking a contract Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist (16-24 hours/week, in-person) to provide evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and follow-up for youth in a Behavioral Health Services program in Riverside, CA.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for children and adolescents.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, providing education on side effects.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, families, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain clinical documentation per agency and regulatory standards within specified timeframes.
- Work independently within professional and agency guidelines, demonstrating leadership and cultural competence.
- Cover for absent psychiatrists as needed.
Requirements include a valid California medical license, board certification or eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, DEA license, and experience with diverse youth populations. Bilingual skills in Spanish are desirable. Salary ranges from $210 to $230 per hour, with a flexible schedule.
