Job Description

The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Gastroenterology provides comprehensive patient care under physician supervision in a clinical setting in Lubbock, TX. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing gastrointestinal and liver conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver disease, while developing individualized treatment plans and prescribing therapies. The NP conducts assessments, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, educates patients on disease management, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, participating in staff meetings, and adhering to clinical and legal standards. Requirements include a master’s degree in Nursing, an active Texas NP license, national certification, and at least one year of NP experience, preferably in gastroenterology. The position is scheduled for two days per week on-site, with potential for additional shifts, and requires the ability to relocate to Snyder, TX before starting. Physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
