Job Description
The Language, Speech, and Hearing Specialist supports students with communication disorders by identifying, evaluating, and providing targeted interventions.
They collaborate with staff, develop individualized programs, and communicate progress to parents.
Qualifications include a valid California teaching credential for language and speech handicapped students and relevant experience.
Key duties involve screening, assessment, developing lesson plans, coordinating with educators and families, and maintaining records.
The role requires working only on school days plus non-teaching days, with placement on the teachers’ salary schedule based on experience.
Schedule is Monday to Friday, full-time, with in-person work.
Educational requirement is a Bachelor’s degree, and a relevant teaching credential is mandatory.
