Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive healthcare at a correctional facility in Sacramento.

  • Deliver full-scope primary care including episodic, chronic, dermatology, preventive, orthopedics, and in-office procedures.
  • Manage emergent cases such as trauma, fractures, chest pain, asthma, and overdoses, along with withdrawal protocols for new intakes.
  • Provide ongoing treatment for chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, HIV, and pulmonary illnesses following national guidelines.

    • Qualifications include an unrestricted MD/DO license in California, board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, completed residency, and current CEUs. Prior correctional, urgent care, or ER experience is preferred.

    Full-time or Per Diem positions are available, with a pay rate of $185/hour. Professional liability insurance is provided at no cost. The role requires commuting or relocating to Sacramento, with travel up to 25% preferred.
