Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse – Lead Late Ward Nurse

Job Description

We seek an experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills to join our independent small animal hospital in Wiltshire as a Lead Late Ward Nurse.

In this full-time role (12:00pm–8:30pm), you’ll oversee inpatient care, coordinate ward activities, support discharge processes, and ensure smooth hospital flow during afternoons and evenings.

Responsibilities include managing handovers, delegating tasks, supporting clinical care, and preparing patients for out-of-hours transfer, all while maintaining high standards and effective team communication.

Ideal candidates possess strong clinical knowledge, leadership experience, excellent organisational skills, and confidence in decision-making.
