Long Term Locum (Associate Dentist)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced, confident dentists for a Long-Term Locum role in a busy NHS urgent care centre in Woolston, Southampton. This position focuses on emergency dentistry, including pain relief, urgent condition management, and patient stabilization, rather than comprehensive treatment. Dentists will typically see 35–45 patients daily, handling NHS 111 referrals, walk-ins, and stabilisation cases in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and quick clinical decision-making are essential.

The role offers flexible shifts with competitive day rates and negotiable travel expenses. Candidates must be GDC registered, possess an NHS performer number, and have relevant general dentistry experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently without compromising care are required. The practice is NHS-only, supportive, and easily accessible via good transport links.
