Long Term Locum (Associate Dentist)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, confident dentist for a long-term locum role focused on urgent care at a busy NHS emergency centre in Woolston, Southampton.

It’s a fast-paced, high-volume environment where the primary aim is pain relief, urgent condition management, and patient stabilization, typically seeing 35–45 patients daily from NHS 111 referrals, walk-ins, and stabilisation cases.

The role requires a GDC-registered dentist with an NHS performer number, general dentistry experience (urgent care experience preferred), and up-to-date indemnity and immunisations. Strong communication skills, the ability to work efficiently at pace without compromising quality, and adaptability are essential.
