Job Description
The General Anesthesiologist position in Gastonia, NC offers a full-time, exempt role with options for 2-year partnership, W-2, or daytime schedule, reporting to the Gastonia Division.
They will provide anesthesia at local hospitals, conducting patient evaluations, developing anesthesia plans, and supervising nurse anesthetists to ensure safe, effective care.
Case variety includes outpatient surgeries, cardiothoracic procedures (CABG, valves, TAVRs, LVADs), neuro, OB, ortho, ENT, pediatrics, GI, and general surgery. Fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia is required.
Responsibilities encompass administering anesthesia, patient monitoring, post-op care, performing airway management, and supervising staff and trainees. The schedule involves shared call (1 in 10) and no night/weekend shifts if preferred.
Qualifications include MD/DO, BC/BE in anesthesiology, 3+ years experience, strong regional skills, and NC licensure. Skills in communication, safety, and teamwork are essential.
