Anesthesiologist (Cardiac-Trained) – Partnership Track, W-2 or Day Coverage

Job Description

The General Anesthesiologist position in Gastonia, NC offers a full-time, exempt role with opportunities for partnership, W-2 employment, or daytime hours without nights or weekends.

Responsibilities include providing anesthesia at local hospitals, conducting patient evaluations, developing anesthesia plans, supervising nurse anesthetists, and monitoring post-op recovery. Case types include cardiac (CABG, valves, TAVRs, LVADs), neuro, OB, ortho, ENT, GI, and general surgery, with some cardiac cases requiring fellowship and a 1-in-10 call schedule shared among physicians.

Qualifications include MD/DO, board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology, 3+ years of high-acuity experience, strong regional anesthesia skills, and NC medical license. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and patient safety commitment. The role involves supervising staff, performing various anesthesia procedures, and maintaining detailed records in a clinical setting.
