Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up, requiring population-specific competencies and adherence to safety goals.
Initiates comprehensive patient assessments and orders diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and radiological examinations.
Diagnoses health issues and plans appropriate therapeutic interventions, including medications and treatments.
Performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and blood draws.
Educates patients on treatments and medications, reporting to supervising physicians and management.
May have additional physical or respiratory requirements and potential exposure to infections, following standard precautions.
Qualifications include a master’s degree from an accredited program, current Oklahoma Nurse Practitioner license, BLS certification, and effective English communication skills.
