Job Description
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide in-person services for clients aged children and up.
Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges related to diagnoses and treatment. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using clinical social work interventions, including crisis, individual, marital, or family therapy. Offer crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Participate in team conferences, collaborate with other professionals, and develop tailored therapy programs. Maintain detailed case records, document interactions, and ensure confidentiality. Educate patients and families about adaptation to diagnoses and treatments, and liaise with community resources. Provide consultative support to healthcare team members within scope of practice. Maintain knowledge of community resources and ensure documentation complies with standards.
Some travel may be required.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field and licensure such as LMHC, TLMHC, LMSW, or LISW in Iowa.
