Join a compassionate, innovative team dedicated to family-like care. The Advanced Practice Professional (APP) – Acute Care provides specialty and critical medical care for children with complex illnesses in inpatient settings, functioning independently under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include performing exams, managing orders, reviewing data, assisting with interventions, and coordinating discharge planning. Excellent communication, clinical expertise, confidentiality, and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications vary by role:

  • For APRNs: Master’s degree, pediatric acute care experience, state licensure, and certifications such as FNP-BC, CPNP-AC, or CPNP-PC.
  • For PAs: Master’s degree, NCCPA certification, state licensure, and pediatric acute care experience.
    • Additional requirements include BLS, PALS, ACLS, and preferred bilingual skills. Ongoing education and credentialing are required to maintain privileges.
