Job Description
The CSAC serves as a therapeutic counselor in a residential substance abuse treatment program, supervised by the Lead Counselor.
Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, case management, crisis intervention, and coordinating family therapy services.
They supervise client assessments, monitor progress, and ensure proper documentation while collaborating with other professionals and families to enhance care.
Additional duties involve training staff, supervising interns, conducting drug screenings, and participating in program improvement and quality assurance activities.
Required qualifications include certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor and pertinent experience, with a preference for those with 3-5 years of holistic treatment knowledge.
Work is in a professional office setting, requiring good communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
