Job Description
This leadership role reports directly to the Nursing Director and involves hands-on nursing and supervisory responsibilities as a full-time Evening Charge Nurse (2pm-10pm) with on-call duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and training nursing staff and Resident Assistants to deliver person-centered care.
- Planning, developing, and coordinating resident care programs, assessments, and service plans.
- Managing electronic health records, medication administration, and documentation.
- Overseeing staffing schedules, recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with state regulations, HIPAA, and safety procedures.
- Collaborating with residents, families, medical teams, and community partners.
- Responding to emergencies and maintaining 24/7 on-site coverage on a rotating basis.
Qualifications include a current RN license, CPR certification, healthcare management experience in retirement or long-term care, and at least 2 years working with residents with dementia.
