Job Description
This leadership role reports directly to the Nursing Director and involves hands-on nursing and supervisory duties as a full-time Evening Charge Nurse (2pm-10pm), with on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities include planning, developing, and directing person-centered care programs, leading and training the nursing team and Resident Assistants, and coordinating resident care while ensuring compliance with regulations. Key duties involve managing resident assessments, maintaining electronic health records, overseeing medication administration, and ensuring effective communication among staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers. Additional tasks include staffing management, training, conducting reviews, maintaining inventories, and ensuring safety and confidentiality standards. Qualifications include RN licensure, CPR certification, experience in geriatrics and dementia care, managing teams of six or more, and working in long-term care settings. Flexibility for overnight travel and working weekends is required.
