Job Description
This leadership role reports directly to the Nursing Director and combines hands-on nursing and supervisory responsibilities as a full-time Evening Charge Nurse (2pm-10pm).
Responsibilities include planning, developing, and overseeing person-centered care programs, leading and training nursing staff and Resident Assistants, and coordinating resident care activities. The role involves maintaining resident files, managing medication administration, completing assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Additional duties encompass staffing management, staff recruitment and onboarding, incident reporting, inventory control, and participating in safety and emergency response teams. The Charge Nurse fosters relationships with residents, families, and healthcare partners.
Qualifications include current RN licensure, CPR certification, healthcare management experience in retirement communities, and at least 2 years working with persons with dementia.
