Job Description
Seeking a part-time, contract Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist (16-24 hours/week onsite) to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment for children and adolescents in a behavioral health program in Riverside, CA.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for youth with diverse psychiatric needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, providing education on side effects.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, families, and treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with agency, state, and federal standards, completing records within 24 hours.
- Provide follow-up care, psychosocial education, and support to clients and their families.
- Work independently within professional guidelines, with responsibilities including coverage for absent psychiatrists.
Requirements include a valid California medical license, board certification or eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, DEA license, and experience working with diverse youth populations. Bilingual skills (Spanish) and familiarity with electronic health records are preferred. Compensation ranges from $210 to $230 per hour, offering a flexible schedule.
