Under supervision, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic nursing support and assists residents with daily activities.

Essential functions include responding to call lights, helping with dressing, grooming, bathing, and incontinence care, assisting with meals, mobility, and positioning, and recording vital signs and care activities. They attend interdisciplinary meetings, follow policies, and provide person-centered care, ensuring punctuality and attendance.

Other responsibilities involve performing assigned tasks, adhering to safety and legal standards, and communicating effectively with residents and staff. An ideal candidate has a high school diploma, valid CNA certification, CPR certification preferred, and six months of long-term care experience is preferred. Advanced training or specialty experience may qualify for CNA II classification.
