Job Description

The Director of Social Services oversees the Social Services Department at a 16-bed inpatient psychiatric facility, providing casework and discharge planning for adults with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating admissions/discharges, collaborating with local agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining quality assurance programs.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license, at least 2 years of supervisory and direct mental health experience, and certifications in CPR, CPI, and First Aid.

Skills involve understanding psychiatric illnesses, policy development, and effective communication.
