The Family Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive care across all ages, focusing on wellness, prevention, and managing minor illnesses and stable chronic conditions.
- Conducts clinical care in an ambulatory setting, including exams, prenatal care, and acute or chronic illness management.
- Provides health education tailored to patient age and condition, both individually and in groups.
- Participates in quality improvement, epidemiological projects, and develops annual health plans.
- Maintains documentation, supports community outreach, and serves as a preceptor for students.
- Meets licensing and credentialing requirements, with a strong community health focus.
