Job Description
This position involves providing high-quality urgent care services as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant).
Perform comprehensive physical exams and assessments for urgent, emergent, and non-urgent patients.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging to inform diagnoses.
Diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments, medications, vaccinations, and therapies.
Perform procedures such as laceration repairs and orthopedic interventions, and refer to specialists when needed.
Explain procedures, test results, and treatments to patients.
Document findings and treatment plans accurately in patient charts, ensuring timely chart closure.
Manage communications related to recruiting, training, and trade events as required.
The Physician provides medical orders, supervision, consultation, and support for the healthcare team, including telecommunication assistance.
Handle special projects and duties as assigned in a safety-sensitive environment.
Qualifications include a medical, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution, current state licenses, board certification for Nurse Practitioners, and certifications such as BLS.
Preferred one year of experience; strong knowledge of medical coding, billing, and regulatory standards; proficiency in PC applications; and supervisory skills.
