Job Description
The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care across all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum services.
Deliver full-spectrum family medicine, including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
Perform obstetric care such as prenatal visits, labor management, deliveries, and postpartum follow-up.
Care for newborns and provide pediatric services within family-centered care.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in community outreach and after-hours coverage.
Participate in hospital call schedules for labor and delivery, including after hours and weekends.
Qualifications include MD or DO degree, completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency, additional obstetric training, and current medical licensure. Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine is required, along with hospital privileges eligibility. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO are preferred.
