Job Description
The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, emphasizing prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care.
Deliver full-spectrum family medicine, including preventive, acute, and chronic care, as well as minor procedures. Provide obstetric services such as prenatal visits, labor management, deliveries, and postpartum follow-up. Care for newborns and pediatric patients within family-centered care. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives. Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention. Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in community outreach, call rotations, and after-hours coverage, including hospital labor and delivery shifts. Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency, additional obstetric training, a current unrestricted medical license, and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine. Preferred certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO.
