Job Description

The General Anesthesiologist position in Virginia Beach, VA is a full-time, exempt role with potential for partnership. Reporting to Dr. James Oleksa, the provider will deliver anesthesia services across multiple surgical centers, supervising certified registered nurse anesthetists, and mentoring trainees.

Responsibilities include administering general and regional anesthesia, conducting patient evaluations, monitoring vital signs, managing airway procedures, and ensuring safe post-operative recovery. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications include a medical degree (MD or DO), board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology, VA medical license, and a minimum of 3+ years of high-acuity anesthesia experience.
