Job Description

Full-time General Anesthesiologist position in Virginia Beach, VA, with potential for partnership. Reporting to Dr. James Oleksa, the role involves providing anesthesia at multiple outpatient surgical centers, supervising nurse anesthetists, and mentoring residents.

Responsibilities include administering general and regional anesthesia, patient evaluation, monitoring vital signs, managing post-operative care, and ensuring patient safety. The anesthesiologist will perform procedures such as venous/arterial punctures, airway management, and monitor patient recovery.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited school, BC/BE in anesthesiology, VA medical license.
  • Minimum 3+ years of high-acuity anesthetic experience.
  • Strong regional anesthesia skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.

    • Work environment involves frequent patient and staff interaction, with some stress. EEO employer.
