Hospice Board Certified Music Therapist/Volunteer Coordinator

Job Description

The Music Therapist provides individualized music therapy services to address patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs, following a written plan of care.

Assess and evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.

Initiate therapy programs, educate families, caregivers, and staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Report patient responses and participate in quality improvement activities.

Provide consultation and in-service education as needed.

Qualifications: Baccalaureate or master’s degree in music therapy, certification, at least 2 years of experience (preferably in hospice/community care), current CPR, and valid driver’s license.

Position details: Full-time, with health benefits and paid time off. Work is in person.
