Job Description
The Music Therapist provides therapeutic music services to address patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs, following individualized care plans.
They assess patients, develop treatment strategies, and monitor progress, reporting changes to physicians.
They initiate music therapy programs, instruct patients’ families and staff, and participate in interdisciplinary teams and quality improvement activities.
Additionally, they provide consultation, education, and orientation to hospice team members.
**Qualifications:** A degree in music therapy from an accredited program, certification or eligibility to take the certification exam, at least 2 years of experience, current CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.
