Job Description
The Music Therapist provides individualized music therapy services to address patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs, following a written care plan.
Essential duties include assessing patient status, directing therapy sessions, collaborating with families and staff, and reporting progress to physicians. They initiate therapy programs, educate caregivers and staff, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications include a degree in music therapy from an accredited program, state certification, at least two years of experience (preferably in hospice/community settings), current CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.
Position is full-time, with benefits such as health insurance and paid time off, and involves in-person work.
